International Exam Policy
The MDCB will suspend the international eligibility route following the administration of the September 2025 exam. During the period of suspension, the MDCB will investigate and determine how to ensure we are meeting our mandate to provide procedural fairness to all applicants.
The MDCB will support the administration of the MDCB Certification Exam internationally. The MDCB test vendor maintains test sites in locations around the world.
It is the responsibility of international candidates to submit all required documentation in English and to demonstrate foreign equivalency of the related science degree submitted by providing documentation from either The Foundation for International Services, Inc. (FIS), or the International Education Research Foundation (IERF). All documentation reviewed by FIS or IERF must be evaluated on a course-by-course basis. If you are living in the USA/Canada but have a transcript or diploma documentation that was obtained from any other country, it must be evaluated for equivalency by FIS orĀ IERF.
