Lapsed Credential for Non-Payment of Fee Policy
Certification renewal fees must be submitted by December 31 of each calendar year. Renewal fees submitted after December 31 will be subject to a $50 late fee. Failure to submit the renewal and penalty fees by February 1 of any calendar year will result in loss of the CMD credential.
A CMD whose credential has lapsed can apply for reinstatement by submitting an appeals form to the MDCB.
CMDs will be considered for reinstatement based on the following criteria:

Lapsed Credential for CE Non-Compliance Policy
Every 5 years, a CMD must show proof of continuing knowledge and skills by documenting a minimum of 50 continuing education credits. Any CMD who is not compliant with continuing education credit by the end of the CE cycle will be reinstated based on the following criteria:

*Any additional continuing education credits submitted during the payment lapsed period will not count toward the CE cycle minimum.
In order to be considered for reinstatement:
- An appeals form must be submitted to the MDCB.
- A decision by the Maintenance of Certification Committee will be rendered, upon receipt of the appeals form, based on the policy outlined. A letter detailing the terms of the reinstatement will be issued.
- The practitioner will be required to submit a signed acknowledgement of the reinstatement terms and payment immediately and any CEU requirements by June 1st of the current year.
Decisions made by the MOC Chair may be appealed, in writing, to the MDCB Board of Directors c/o the President. Decisions of the MDCB Board of Directors are final.
