Jillian Beliew is a recent graduate of Grand Valley State University with a Master of Science in Medical Dosimetry. Jillian has worked as a radiation therapist across community and academic centers and has over 15 years of experience in diagnostic imaging and radiation oncology. While completing her graduate program. Jillian maintained a full-time class schedule while also working as a radiation therapist, without ever losing sight of her most prized roles: wife and mom. When she’s not planning or delivering treatments, Jillian enjoys traveling with her family and caring for their cabin in northern Michigan.
Jillian is honored to receive the MDCB exam voucher, which will support her journey toward certification and continued growth in the field of medical dosimetry. Her goals include participating in more dosimetric research and staying at the forefront of treatment planning technology.
Isabella Concepcion-Sagarate is a recent graduate of the medical dosimetry program at Thomas Jefferson University. Between classes and the clinic, she gained training in treatment planning, anatomy, radiobiology, dose calculations, image fusion, contouring, and the use of Pinnacle as her treatment planning system, with Eclipse workshops in class. She also had the opportunity to observe Monaco, Oncentra, and BrainLab Elements planning.
During her clinical time, Isabella observed and planned in a variety of cases, including 3D-CRT, VMAT, and SBRT. She had the opportunity to observe and learn from each dosimetrist at her clinical site, MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper, and was able to practice their tips and tricks to help make her plans reflect a little of everyone’s style. Her clinical site also helped her gain exposure by learning from the radiation therapists and medical physicists. She is eager to learn all that she can so that she can be as prepared as possible as she enters the field.
Isabella is grateful to have been awarded an MDCB exam waiver and is ready to embark on her career journey in radiation oncology.
Lury is a nuclear medicine technologist who specifically does PET/CT. She decided to pursue dosimetry so that in the future she can use her background to go into dosimetry for theranostics. Lury finds both fields very fascinating and believes these two fields combined are and will continue to change so many patients’ lives in a positive way.

Jayne VanderVelde is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Medical Dosimetry at the University of Wisconsin La-Crosse. Jayne initially obtained a Bachelor of Health Science in Allied Health, which led her to discover her passion for radiation therapy. Throughout the Radiation Therapy Program at Grand Valley State University, she found her interests shifting more toward medical dosimetry, as she enjoyed the creativity and critical thinking involved, along with the collaboration and guidance she received from medical physicists and radiation oncologists.
During the week, Jayne works as a radiation therapist at Corewell Health's Lemon-Holton Cancer Pavilion, and on weekends works as a pharmacy technician at her local Meijer. Jayne loves being able to offer hope to those who feel hopeless.
